  • An Excellent Work Says Charlie Landsborough

“Alan Fullard is a fine singer songwriter and in the world of musical similarities very much his own man. Biography

Alan Fullard

Alan Fullard

It was a very hot night in June 1977 when I first had the pleasure of a magnificent encounter with Alan Fullard. I’d arrived at Digbeth Civic Hall to see ‘Largo’, a much talked about highly visual Birmingham band. Having arrived a little late, due to severe traffic, the band were on stage. TRhere was this great looking guy with a thick mane of long hair behind a bank of keyboards rocking a Hammond C3. Th incredible groove coming from the organ sound matched an incredible flare for melody. Yep! We were rocking with the best of ‘em! And yep! I was impressed. Minutes later Alan donned a guitar and was out singing the haunting ‘Talk To Me’. It was at this moment that I realised Alan had been blessed with a superb voice. Yep! I became a fan and now, some twenty yeras and hundreds of concerts later, I’m still a fan and I’m still impressed……
