Here is what ‘Melody Maker’s’ Chris Woods has to say about ‘Out Of Nowhwere’ the album.

It’s been a very long time since I was so excited from listening to a debut Album ” Out of Nowhere” from Alan Fullard, it’s quite simply stunning. It’s such a pleasure to hear an album of such high calibre material. For me, Alan Fullard is a writer with such pedigree “out of Nowhere” is filled with high class beautifully crafted melodic structures, yet retained is a simple, though sophisticated sound so accessible significantly enhanced by a superb lead voice. This album is a breath of fresh air, it offers the lot, sensitive verses, huge choruses, marvelous orchestrations, wonderful backing vocals, ( the performance from Alicia Lane a real highlight). The light and shade aspect beautifully illustrated on ” Exceptional”, ( a hit if I’ve ever heard one ) which can rock with the best of ‘em !. This song also features some great lead guitar work from Steve Downs. I would imagine radio DJ’s all over having a ball with “Out of Nowhere”, it’s made for airplay. This album really does have something for everybody. Memorable ballads in abundance, the eerie, though gentle ” America “, which is simply outstanding – An Englishman singing about New York, you can almost taste Manhattan. ” Pot of Gold”, though very much contemporary, offers a hint of country charm.

” All in the mind “, obviously a sad tale, though it’s fun and have you dancing. ” Waiting on your own all night for me ” is a cleverly worked ballad, with such a powerful anthemic chorus most admirably featuring a very strong hard driving, yet economical guitar riff. Quite unique – absolutely beautifully produced by Peter Ware. This album deserves attention. For me, this is most refreshing, I can see Alan Fullard scoring hits – These songs are exceptional and right “Out of Nowhere “.
